Echoing the opinion of most American Indians and many Non Indians, Russell Means speaks out the Palestinian People and their struggle for their lands. After all, Russell Means goes where White Men Dare To Tread. Read what Russell has to say about the government, Israel and Palestine. Here is a brief excerpt:
The US was created to break international laws,” Means said, adding that it is obvious today that this is the pattern of the U.S. Means said the United States was initiated as an outlaw and renegade nation and that “today, its imperial policies mean that Israel is a surrogate of the US, receiving aid from the U.S. With the combined US and international aid, Israeli receives $12 billion a year for its “military and the settlers in the West Bank.”
Means said 80 percent of the people in the West Bank are paid to stay there. “It is America who pays them to stay there. But even in Israel, where there is a free press and not everyone agrees with Israel waging war on Palestine. He said 20 to 30 percent of the people in Israel are against the war on Palestine. Like the United States, Israel has been at war every year of its existence.”
Means often refers to Israel as the 51st state, of warmongers and imperialists. “America and Israel are based on lies, resulting in the massive deaths in Iraq. Now, the US and Israel are focused on Iran because its oil reserves.” Means said Indian lands have become “open air concentration camps.” “If you chose to stay on the reservation, you are guaranteed to be poor, unless you are part of the colonial apparatus set up by the Bureau of Indian Affairs,” he said.

The United States Constitution!
U.S. Constitution - Article 6
All Debts contracted and Engagements entered into, before the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the United States under this Constitution, as under the Confederation.
This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.
The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.
It seems that the United States is as good at making treaties as it is in breaking them!

The Raping of American Indian Culture! Part One - The "Inipi"
The American Indian has seen a tremendous injustice done to not only their culture but even more devastating is the fact that they have had their beliefs and ceremonial practices preyed upon! Non Indians proclaiming the absurd title of shaman and acting as medicine people practice ceremonies in return for payment, setting fee’s and advertising events for the reason of financial gain or self recognition.
For countless generations the American Indian has provided healing and spiritual guidance with no expectation of reward. Gifts of appreciation were accepted but were never suggested and in most cases these gifts came in the form of tobacco, food, money and similar trade goods. Ceremonies were for the benefit of all people and healing was performed by the spirits working through the medicine person with the assistance of herbal remedies which were in most cases determined by the spirit helpers. The American Indian language also plays a critical role in all ceremonies. To charge a fee for ones services in the healing and the spiritual realms was unheard of !
A good example of the rape of American Indian culture is the mis-use and mis-understanding of the "Inipi" Ceremony of the Lakota Nation known by most as the Sweat Lodge. Though several Plains and Western American Indian Nations used some form of sweat lodge, the "Inipi" is a sacred ceremony of the Lakota. Today sweat lodges are performed throughout the United States and even abroad. Sadly to say, the vast majority of these lodges serve no more purpose then a steam bath or sauna. They are mostly performed by Non Indian's, who at best, have attended a few real Inipi's and develop a following with claims of being given the "authority" to perform this sacred ceremony! Many claim to be Indian and dress to reflect their adopted bloodline. The truth is that American Indians are enrolled members of their "Nation" or tribe. That does not mean that somewhere in their bloodline an ancestor was Indian or Part Indian. Many in the United States have "a little" American Indian blood, just as others have African American, German, Chinese or so forth.
If you attend "Lodges" and have a "Teacher" use extreme caution! Non Indians can be very gullible when seeking spirituality. If the lodge you attend is performed by an "Intercessor" that speaks English in the songs and prayers be skeptical. The indigenous language is a critical and vital part of this ceremony. If not then consider it no more then a group sauna and social gathering!
